Is Herobrine real Minecraft?

Herobrine is a Minecraft urban legend that the dead brother of the creator of Minecraft's soul projected itself into the game. The creators themselves didn't dispute it, but it is fake. There have been little jokes in some updates that said "Herobrine removed from Minecraft" but those as well were just part of the joke.

To make a long story short, no. It's a joke, BUT there is a mod to make him real and pissed at you. I think it's on Planetminecraft.com
