Getting a religous tattoo when atheist?
I'm looking to get my first tattoo and I love the tattoo of the praying hands holding the beads. I am atheist though and only like the tattoo because of the art behind it. I believe in fate and I am it anti Christian in any way, would this be ok?

Be aware that people will assume you're Christian (Catholic to be more specific, because of the beads).
I doubt very many people will ask you about it, since the answer to their most basic questions seems obvious "I'm religious, and I'm catholic. I have strong faith in God. Etc, etc." So chances are pretty good that you won't have to worry about dodging any of their questions... but if they do question you, be prepared to get more heat than you would for just being atheist - since most Christians will see it as an insult to Christianity.
You may also have to be prepared for people coming up to you and saying "Tattoos are against your religion" because they are very controversial in the Christian church.
I would almost say it's like a Christian getting a pentagram. It's a symbol which says something about you that isn't true. I'm not typically one who thinks that other peoples opinions should ever matter when getting a tattoo, but since you're saying it's the art you like, I think you should opt for something else... or at least think of a personal meaning to go with the symbol... something other than "I like the way it looks."

i would say that some people might say something about your tattoo that you have religious tattoo when you're atheist. It's just about meaning of your tattoo because its on your body. BUT it's up to you, you decide whatever you want and other people's ideas are less important :)

Yes this should be fine... it's about what the meaning of the tattoo is to you... It's your body.
Also I think there's a typo in your question... did you mean you are "not" anti-Christina?

So long as there is some meaning behind it and/or you're prepared to answer any questions you get. I mean im catholic but I don't believe any of it as it was more forced upon me due to family. However I am currently planning a St. Christopher tattoo on the side of my ribs for my nan.
Good luck.

I don't see why not, according to the bible you shouldn't be getting any tattoos at all, so whatever you get would annoy the Christians.

Sure, just prepare to answer any questions you get from Christians.
