Not gonna have a date to prom?

Prom was a huge deal at my high school too, but I can assure you that it's not a big deal to go without a date. Sure, you arrive with your date ad go to the same after party as them, but at prom, you barely see them. About 5% of the songs they play are slow ones for people with dates. The other songs are for you to go dance with a group of your girlfriends or just sit and talk and eat.

I went with a date and didn't see him at all. The guys sat around together and the girls sat around together. All we did was take pictures together. That was it. I know it seems like the end of the world, but trust me, it's not. You don't wanna go with someone who screws you over anyway.

Go in a group, go alone. Now days people aren't even into really asking each other to go out. So i wouldn't worry about it. Its basically just a night to see your friends/ girlfriend/boyfriend for the last time.

I know how you feel. It seems like everyone has a date and I know no one is going to ask me so I might ask my friend to go as friends. You could try that :]

Well if you want a date you just have to ask now, i mean its too late for someone to come up to you and ask you ( am I right) . But anyway ask and see what you can get.

To be honest, its really not a big deal . Then again im a guy, it might be a huge deal for some girls. But i could care less , its basically mastering the art of not giving a f**k. People might say " oh look he/she has got a date or he/she doesnt have a date." All that really maters is if you feel comfortable.

I'm sorry to hear that the other guy called it off, good luck to you. I'm sure you'll grow up to be an amazing person !

But it doesn't make you look any less superior. Look at it this way- it just makes you look like your standards are too high for anyone to fill;)
