Program dish network remote to change input?
I have a Yamaha RX-V673 surround sound receiver. This controls the inputs to the TV. One input to watch satellite, one for the PlayStation, one for the Xbox, etc. Can I program a button on the dish network remote to cycle through the inputs so I don't have to use the receivers remote?

Tricia,
I would be happy to assist you with this. Our remotes are able to be programmed to a device and operate it, though our remote is not able to utilize the functions of the equipments remote by programming alone.
The best option to try, if the remote is compatible, is the learning feature. This lets our remote learn what a button on another remote does, and allows it to use that function. This featurei s only compatible with a select few remotes. Those are the 20 and 21.0 remotes, the 32.0 remote, and the 40.0 remote. The steps vary based on each remote though. If you can provide the model of remote you have, I would be happy to give you the steps required!

Press Menu on your dish remote, then Settings and then remote supervisor. Press confined Mode and disable it. Keep your surroundings. Then Press the clear tv button at the very prime. Then press Menu and it should pull up your tv menu. Then press the enter button and you will have to be in trade.
