I need help on a metaphor!?
Okay so I'm not very good with metaphors.
'The family is tranquil. '
Is that a metaphor?? And if it isn't then how can I make it a metaphor?

No, this is a direct statement in which the noun "family" is modified by the predicate adjective "tranquil."
Suppose you wanted to compare this tranquil family to a quietly and efficiently running Swiss watch. To create a simile, you might say "The family's tranquility is like a quietly running Swiss watch."
To create a basic metaphor using the same terms, we simply remove "like" or "as" and make the statement comparing the two ideas more direct. "This family is a Swiss watch: quiet, efficient, and tranquil."
