Please Explain Eurail Pass?

I get the pass for a month under $160. But besides this $160 do I need to pay more to get a seat in the train.? I am travelling to Poland, I will land at Warsaw then I am thinking to go Krakow, Lodz and Gdansk.

So will I'll be able to travel to these cities with this pass, at no additional cost. ?

    I believe you can travel on all types of trains, but you would have to pay extra booking fees for seats or beds on a sleeper.
