My Internet has gradually slowed down?

So when I first got my Internet it was really fast, like it would load Netflix movies in like 10 seconds. Now it takes more like 1 min, and I'll be randomly disconnected sometimes. Plus the router will randomly reboot sometimes. It's really annoying. Does this usually happen? And why does it happen?

urrrm Netflix=not your fault. NetFlix has grown in popularity and there is only so much they can do. if i have to stream 1 file to 100 people on a 100MB/s connection that wouldnt be so difficult but then if they tell all their friends and i have to stream to 1000 people on the same connection you can expect it to take a little longer. and if you have had it more than 6 moths dont let you ISP screw you. Report it and get a new one.and an updated one at that. i had sky for like 2 months and they released a new router10 days after they gave me mine so i complained and not only got a the new modem but also got £20 of my bill :) remember your Internet Service Provider (ISP) has to keep you happy ... not the other way around.

"the router will randomly reboot sometimes"

    That does not usually happen.

Do a series of speed tests over a period of a few days at different times of the day and take screenshots or print out each result. If they're slow or inconsistent, call your Internet service provider and ask for someone to come check your connection. Show the technician your speed test results to show that you're not complaining for no reason.

It could be a faulty connection, a wonky router, or it could be that your neighbourhood is saturated and the company needs to provide more bandwidth. You're paying for a service so don't be shy about asking for it to actually work.

It is possible you are not getting the same speed as before from your provider.

It is possible that the router needs updating.

Most likely is you have too many things running on your computer at the same time.

This happens without you knowing it.

Also get rid of temporary files.

because the project is briefly fastened by technique of restarting the router, i'd say that the project of your internet slowing down is as a results of the router itself, extremely than to the computer. one thanks to carry close for useful is to both purchase or borrow a extra moderen router (e.g. Linksys) and observe if that fixes your difficulty. in spite of the undeniable fact that, bypass the router altogether for an afternoon and observe if that still solves the project. if so, then you recognize you want a sparkling router. solid success!

There might be some problem in your system.

You can re-install the internet software and also delete the temporary files.

If still problem exists, contact your internet company, they will configure the settings.
