Ammunition manufacturers are not stupid. They can forecast sales to the government based upon wartime or peace time footing and public demand. The ammo shortage that exists right now is due to private sales increasing over fears of new gun laws. The same thing happened right after Obama was elected for his first term in office. Ammo was scarce. It will catch up in the stores as soon as people get over the scare and stop hoarding it.

The government is buying up all this ammo because they believe that the gun nuts really believe that they THE MILITIA , need all their weapons to defend themselves against a bad bad government and given the extreme NRA statements they believe this MILITIA is on the move .to destroy the government (sort of like Washington did)..

I can't wait to see this totally one side "war:" for with drones and highly advanced weaponry ,the government will wipe these gun freaks and their militia off the face of this earth in a few hours/days .

Maybe then the gun freaks will stop this nonesense that they need all these guns to fight a bad bad government .

Doesn't make sense. Even if bankrupt someone would buy the equipment and to make ammo when prices went back up. Or the price would rise until new companies were formed.

I would say that the social security administration is probably the wrong service to be looking at but I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case, maybe not for the social security administration but definitely someone...

Maybe "They" are buying up all the ammunition in the world, and then they are going to mail them out to you as gifts.

Maybe "They" are buying up all the ammunition, crating it, and sending up to the Moon Base. They anticipate a coming war, and they are just trying to keep you safe. Or are you a face-hugger lover?

While the govt bought an exceptional amount of ammo it still is only a fraction of what they produce.

Why are you so paranoid?

Ammo, like water, is never going to be something there is too much of.

If that is so, where will they get ammo when they really need it, all the ammo makers will be out of business.

That's a good strategy if it works for those doing it. I can see that.
