Should i get a bunny or a hamster?
I want to get a pet and I'm torn between a bunny(a lop preferably) and a hamster. Anyone who can tell me pros and cons of both to help me decide?

you could try pet rats instead.they are sweet, intelligent animals.they play with you and you could teach them tricks like dogs.male rats are couch potatoes and females are more playful.they are extremely social.and they do not spread any diseases.you have to keep them in pairs.they are amazing pets.please check these sites for more info

I suggest getting a hamster, they're much funner than a bunny (in my opinion).
To be honest, all bunnies do is eat and poop. They don't really play or anything. But if you do get a bunny you should get it neutered or spayed because if not they turn very aggressive and will bite you.
As for hamsters, they're really adorable pets and it's entertaining to watch them play around! You can buy it toys and they'll play with it. I actually like watching them eat, haha. Breeding them is a nice experience too, because you get to see the little babies grow (I don't suggest you do this though unless you have somewhere to give the babies that you don't want). The only problem is that if they are nocturnal animals, so they like to go on their wheel and play a lot during the night, so you might hear the squeaking of a wheel in the middle of the night.
ALSO, if you do get a hamster get more than 1 (at least 2) so they can play together. They're very social animals and will get sad alone.

Personally I would get a rabbit, but your question makes me think that you are comparing a rabbit to a hamster. They are very different pets. Rabbits require much more work than hamsters and are more sociable. Hamsters can be mean, but they take up less space and cost less. If you get a rabbit, please keep in mind:
-the rabbit, if it is on the smaller size (4lbs. and under) should be kept in a 6 sq. foot cage at least. If you plan on keeping the rabbit indoors, I would recommend an x-pen, which works for most sizes of rabbits.
-rabbits are social and you should be committed to playing with them daily, for at least and hour.
-rabbits require routine care such as nail clipping and brushing
There are many more things to know about caring for rabbits, but I do want to make sure you realize that they need much more care than hamsters. I love rabbits and think they make wonderful, sweet pets, so I would of course recommend one.
