Questions about college roommate?

Hey.

I'm a 17 year old guy, and I'm going to be attending college this fall. I just had some questions about my roommate. We have met each other before, just so you know.

I know we should talk about the basic stuff, like who is going to bring the TV and the fridge and all that. But should we also talk about "openness", and by that I mean being shirtless and hanging out in boxers and all that.

My roommate is a pretty fit guy, so I have no problems with that. I'm a pretty fit guy also. But I just don't want it to be awkward when one of us hangs out shirtless and the other one doesn't.

How do I go about asking him all these questions?

Update:

By the way, I'm not gay, if that's what you were thinking.

There isn't a problem when one guy thinks another guy is fit and he has no problem with it. You can just jump to the assumption that he is gay. Guys compliment each other all the time.

It is not going to be awkward. This is a really random idea/concern to be candid (you sound like you might be the awkward one. Just for your own reference regarding how you come off).

Guys hang out shirtless all the time, who cares.

"My roommate is a pretty fit guy, so I have no problems with that." Judge much?

That's a pretty awkward thing to just randomly bring up in casual conversation, maybe you could just wait until you move in, I feel like that would nethe best way to approach it. Like "oh, do you mind if..." And I mean do you plan on walking aroun half naked all the time? Or just when you sleep? From what I've been told you don't spend much time in your dorm anyway so idk. I'm just goig to wait until like orientation to sort things out like that.

Follow my blog! It's kind of dry now, but I'll be writing about getting for college!
