I get a lot of spam in my computer ...?

How can I stop this. It is really frustrating the time I lose from this unwanted advertising.

Update:

It is easy to eliminate spam in Email page but not When searching for information in the web.

    Keep listing it as "spam", eventually MUCH of it will be caught.

    I average 3-5 NEW spam messages a week, with 1,000 plus caught by the filter!

    I'm assuming you are talking about your email. Most email providers these days provide a spam filter so you can mark certain messages as spam. Stop using your primary email address to sign up for things random things online. If it's unbearably bad, you might consider making a new email account.

    Gmail does a decent job filtering out spam and Outlook.com claims to have the best spam filter of all.
