question for jets fans?
how is shonn greene as a 3rd down back and a receiver out of the backfield? do you feel that he will be a good complement to chris johnson? sorry for the compound question, but i figure the best source of info is from the fans that watch the players on a weekly basis.

Greene is not much of a receiver out of the backfield. He's quite strong, built more like a fullback, but he's not going to wow you or dodge and juke defenders for large gains. I wouldn't hope for another LenDale White 2008 type season, but Greene more than capable of punching the ball in from a couple yards out when needed. He's a decent enough blocker, but misses an assignment every now and then. He's definitely more serviceable than Ringer in my opinion so Munchak will definitely be able to use him with confidence.

It depends on his work ethic during every offseason. If Shonn Greene works hard and performs very well in practice every day, he will greatly improve his chances of becoming a successful, top notch NFL running back for the Tennessee Titans in the future.

Doesn't matter if he is a good complement or not if they can find a decent quarterback that can get the ball to the WRs....
