Algebra help please.?

This is embarrassing. I haven't taken algebra since 8th grade. Now im a junior in college. There is a problem on my finance homework. Where 8=ROE(.75)/1-(ROE)(.75). How would you solve that algebraically? I have the answer i think, need a second opinion.

    8 = ROE(.75)/1-ROE(.75)

    8 × [1- ROE(.75)] = ROE(.75)

    8 - 8(.75)ROE = ROE(.75)

    8-6(ROE) = (.75)ROE

    8 = (6.75)ROE

    8/6.75 = ROE

    ROE = 1.19

    Having to take a guess that you may be meaning:-

    8 = 0.75 ρ / (1 - 0.75 ρ)

    8 - 6ρ = 0.75ρ

    8 = 6.75 ρ

    ρ = 8 / 6.75 = 1.19
