Question for Nook users?

My aunt is a teacher (albeit not very technologically advanced) and the school has recently purchased several Nooks for her student to use. She has to download several, free books onto them before the end of next week.

She has a Barnes and Noble gift card and -- being that the books are free -- wants to know if she could somehow use that do download the material.

Do Nook users have the opportunity to bypass the option to enter a credit card number and, instead, simply use gift cards for items?

If so, how?

Thanks for any/all responses, you guys.

You can enter in your credit card number and don't use it at all. But in order to set up an account, you need the credit card number. I haven't used my Nook too many times but you should try the Barnes and Noble website or customer service.
