Should I ask him Out or Not?

Ok so theres this guy and hes new to our school, hes quite good looking and we're kind of going out at the start of the year, but he said i was awkward.. which was kinda true and later on he went out with someone else. So now he goes out with my friend shes kinda my friend anyway, and hes told me he still likes me, all my friends have told me to ask him out (as we're good friends now) But i Don't want to wreck his relationship bu the never even talks about he and its like She does not exist.. and he gives really good hugs LOL.. And His gf asked me to hang out with them at lunchtime on Monday :/ Help please Idk what to do?????
