how to report a sociopath?

I think an ex friend of mine may be a sociopath, and worse off i think she may have killed someone... let me add i have no solid evidence of anything, but just the way she is, ans the lies, and the weird things me and her ex roommate noted are starting to freak me out. i really do think she killed someone... what can i do, to at least have the cops look into it? or since there is no proof, would they shrug me out the door?

Update:

so here is the thing, a few years back her ex "killed himself" no investigation was done, and she seems WWWAAAYYY to wrapped up ion him, and is completely ubsessed with murderers, this thing called mydeathspace and lied to her BEST friends about where she was, she said she was in school, but it was in the dead middle of the summer. also, she goes on sites where he is mentioned and lies about stuff related to him... this and other things are making me think this. her Ex roommate/BEST friend had to move in with me to get away from her, and then move to texas because of her... is this not a red flag?

okay, as soon as i get my phone back i will report it. I feel all the little things are adding up, and i cannot look at her without thinking she is a sociopath. my boyfriend is about to get his masters in psych and he thinks so too, but if you know him you will know that is not something he says often... :(

    Being a sociopath is not illegal. Murder is, but if you don't have any evidence to give police to even make her a logical suspect (and they don't believe it's foul play) nothing will get done. Furthermore, if you are wrong and you do report her; you could screw up her life in ways most people don't think about.

    Its hard to know without evidence you can report her but that's all you can do. The cops need to see a dead body with evidence before they do anything. But it will make them aware, if their are murders in your home area or close to where she lives you will keep her noted. Cops usually find the murders eventually. Red flags are real, people with this behavior can cause harm. or maybe not. If she threatens report her. I think you should anyway.

    yes just report it immediately! There is no penalty for being wrong about something if it turns out not to be true. But its important for you to report it because what if no one else does, and you could have been the one to save the day?

    Narcissists like to tell scary stories to freak you out.
