Trying to come up with a slang word for my story?
In my story, there are a handful of noble families who advise the king. I know what their real titles will be, but I can't think of a good nickname or slang word for people in that elite class to be referred to as by the lower classes. So, any good ideas for something to call these rich, highbrow, privileged people?

Well, I'm using the a term Blueblood (person of noble birth) for my story, which I'm hoping will be published - which is similar to yours in the way you mentioned - but they probably aren't even close to being the same.
You can use something such as(these ideas will probably be really bad but):
silk-stockings
patrician
well-born/wellborn
venerable
some may be interpreted as good but you can manipulate the story to make them negative
I'm not really sure how 'slangish' you want it so I'm going with my flow here
