What is so sanitary about those hand blow dryers in public restrooms?
It really annoys me when I think that those dryers are using the restroom's air to dry off your hands. That air has been all over the restroom. You might as well be drying your hands with someone's butt. Yeah, I know the air is heated, but big deal. Would you drink boiled toilet water? Someone please explain how this method of hand drying can be clean and sanitary? Do those machines have filters?

First, they are a ways extra sanitary than the historical-fashioned revolving material towels of the historic days. The machines mostly do have filters, and probabilities are the air is truely drawn from a crawl-house in the wall, no longer from the restroom itself. Finally, they are a ways more clean for the environment since they are making use of cleaner electricity, they don't diminish bushes they usually don't fill landfills with semi-used paper towels. This is what they imply via "clean." i do not for my part LIKE them, however I do see the argument FOR them.

They don't claim to be sanitary. They claim to be more sanitary than using towels, which they are. And they are even more sanitary before you take a big dump and fill up the air with that stink.

It is very unsanitary. When hand dyers blow air, it is just blowing the air from the bathroom all over your hands.

Well, I prefer hand towels because they take less time and are disposable, but that's just me.
