Is there a kitchen tool to squeeze the water from boiled spinach?
I like to make gomae -- Japanese spinach salad. The first step is blanching the spinach. Then I squeeze out most of the water. I find doing that by hand really tedious and not very effective. Are there any kitchen tools I can use to squeeze out the water with demolishing the spinach? TIA!

Just use an old dishtowel and put it in the towel, gather the ends and twist till all the liquid is expelled from the towel, holding it over the sink ;))
(Another method: use a potato ricer. Since it's rather an uncommon item in MOST kitchens, it works equally well and doesn't stain a dish/tea towel)
That's the best method I've found so far ;))

Try a muslin cloth or tea towel, put the spinach at the center and gather ends towards the top. Twist from top to bottom to squeeze out water

If you don't feel like dirtying a dish towel or cheese cloth, you can just place the spinach on a dinner plate, and then top it with another matching dinner plate and squeeze over the sink. I do this all the time.

No, I don't think so. Maybe put the spinach in a clean hand towl and the squeeze the water out.

Try a salad spinner. It will use gravity to remove alot of the water. Any other moisture can be removed by placing in a clean, sanitized dry towel and squeezing gently.
