During my formative years, it was mostly through friends. I was lucky enough to have friends who had good taste in music. These days, however, I find myself surrounded by friends who just listen to a lot of rubbish, so I rely on Pandora and Slacker instead. Unintentionally, I've also discovered quite a few artists from songs used in ads, television shows, and movies.

It might take me a while, but when I find a good song I listen to it so much that it's definitely worth it.
