Is it easy to see the surf from Delaware Street in Huntington Beach, California?

You can't see it. I grew up on the corner of Garfield and Delaware before the city tore my parents house down several years back. Even if you go south to the end of Delaware you won't see any waves. However, it's only a short bike ride to get down to the beach from just about anywhere on Delaware.

You would have to be pretty high up, it's not that close
