Can Del Potro win Miami?
Do you think this time he can reach the final and maybe even win the tournament? Or will he be tired of his successful Indian Wells?
(In 2011 and 2012, he lost in R4 in Miami).
BQ: If he meets Ferrer in QF, who do you think would win and why?
BQ2: How far do you think Berdych can go? His game was pretty solid during the Indian Wells...

Well maybe, it just depends on how good he is playing. I don't really think he can win it, maybe make the semi-finals or finals though. In my belief I think he can beat Ferrer, because although Ferrer is a good consistent player, if a player like Del Potro, or Berdych, or Tsonga are play well, they will beat him because they have a lot more firepower and can dominate Ferrer. The reason why Ferrer has a better Head 2 Head is because Ferrer's game is built on consistency where if a player isn't on his game he will beat them, but if they are then they will beat him. I have a good name for Delpo, Berdych, and Tsonga. The inconsistent Big 3. Where they have the game to be among the world's top 5 but are inconsistent to the point where they haven't been able to get there, but have always been able to upset the top four. Then there is Ferrer where he's consistent, and will beat on the lower ranked players because of his consistency and is rarely upset, but doesn't possess the game to defeat the top 4. This is why in my belief that if Delpo plays his game consistently, he can beat Ferrer. And if he plays well enough he could upset Djokovic like he did in Indian Wells. But the thing is, is that players like Djokovic, Murray, Federer, or Nadal. Possess the game of Delpo Berdych and Tsonga, probably play it slightly better, but play it consistently, and that is why Ferer will never upset them, and why Del Potro will have to be playing very well to defeat Djokovic.
Berdych is kind of the same player as Delpo where he possess so much firepower, so much heaviness behind his strokes, that on a good day he could upset the big 4. But he is just so inconsistent that he can never get to that level. I think that if Berdych plays well at Miami, he can maybe reach the semi-finals, final, or in the best case scenario for him, even win the tournament. It just depends how well he is playing.

I think Juan has a good chance of making a good run in this tournament. He has a fairly good draw, and without two of his biggest rivals (Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal) he can definitely make it to the Semis as long as he's not too tired from Indian Wells.
I think that if Juan Martin plays like he played against Rafa in the finals of Indian Wells, then he could beat David Ferrer. David is very consistent, but he hasn't been playing at the level of a number five in the world. I think Juan Martin has the ability to be in the top five or six if he is consistent.
We already know he can beat Novak, but the question is can he do it consistently? I think the only reason Novak lost was because he took his foot off the gas petal, and Juan Martin stepped on his. If he can beat Novak, then you should expect Andy Murray in the final waiting for him.
Is Andy Murray able to stay consistent enough to make it to the final? I think he can. To be honest I was expecting Murray to beat Del Potro, and then have a show-off with Novak. I think Andy Murray is still having a little mental block from loosing the Australian Open final, and if he can get over that, he would be able to beat Juan Martin in the final.
Juan Martin has done the almost impossible and beaten both Djokovic and Murray in the same tournament before loosing the Nadal. He doesn't have to worry about that this time, because only two of the big four are going to be in Miami.
There is one more factor, I haven't considered. Juan Martin has never won a Masters 1000, and winning would be new territory for him. I do think he can do it, but he might be feeling the nerves for pressure to win/go far in this tournament because of his run at Indian Wells.
Bottom line: It is possible for Juan Martin to win, but he needs to be in tip top condition. He also needs to come out on court swinging with the highest intensity he has in all of his matches. He can't slack off at all!

Though Del Potro is showing his finest form since his US Open run of 2009, his conditioning seemed suspect at the end of the match with Nadal in Indian Wells and throughout his career he has not been more than a one-trick-pony . . . sooooooooo, no I don't predict he will win Miami or even get to the match with David Ferrer . . . sorry DelPo fans . . . just say'in . . .
Tomas Berdych is built of much sturdier stuff . . . he too, has been in "lights out" form so one can expect to see him all the way to the semifinals . . . and perhaps, beyond.

Sorry however most effective Nadal can win the French Open, as a minimum this yr. Probably sooner or later someone else can win and Murray and del Potro seem as excellent candidates as any. This 12 months, nevertheless, I consider its a one-man race. The opposite 127 will likely be competing for runner-up at best.

My answer links straight to your BQ, i don't think he will get past Ferrer, he has a really bad record against him, Ferrer usually wins convincingly, if Del Potro did get past Ferrer, he'd then face Djokovic, and i can't see the mighty Djokovic losing twice to Del Potro in one month, If Del Potro could reach the final, he would have a great chance, but getting there will be very tricky.

I highly doubt he recovered from Indian Wells, where he played 3 3 set matches. Even though federer, and nadal are out, I don't think he'll win, mainly because it will be hard to maintain the consistency of play, and his stamina might run out.

i think he definitely could. the fact that nadal and federer aren't there gives him a good chance
