Which virus protection program is the worst?

My choice is Kaspersky. Ever since I clicked on download, my computer is even more ****up than it used to be. Its twice as slow and I keep getting these pop-up ads telling me the free trial period will be up soon and I hay to pay them to get the other version.

The pop up covers the part of the screen I wan't to see.

Kaspersky offers very good protection. But I also had problems with it slowing down my computer. So I use Norton. I think on some computers a certain program may not run right. It could be a conflict with something on your computer or a bad install. Something left over from your old security program is messing up Kaspersky. It's really hard to say why this happens sometimes. Since there are many good security programs you might want to remove Kaspersky and try something else.

Kaspersky is the worst? I truly disagree with you. I used to be a Kaspersky user for 3 years but that was 2 years ago. It was the best among the best and I believe it still is! The only problem is the cost in maintaining my subscription so I just switched to the free Avast and bought Malwarebytes Ant-Malware to go along with my AV.

If you ask me, the worst AV is McAfee and next is Norton, but never Kaspersky.

MCAFEE! i have it for 2 years as mandatory subscription with my PC purchase. it's scans are slow, scans take up lots of resources and seriously slowing my pc, it automatically puts my pc to sleep sometimes when i initiate scans, and it has very aggressive pop-up ads demanding me to ''buy smtg''. MSE is also bad, when i had a trojan, MSE struggled to remove it and it took so long to remove, with my PC freezing several times, and because it was slow, i remained locked out of some control panel settings. Kaspersky and BitDefender are best paid ones, Avast, Panda and AVG are best free ones, with the Avast and AVG close in effectiveness to top paid ones.

    Although Norton is quite good

It's a bit over zealous with our last computer it wouldn't even let us go on the Internet we use AVG and Virgin Security now (came free with our broadband) and they work perfectly
