Cheap ways to travel public transport?
Especially for the Liverpool/north west area?
I get a lot of buses and it's coming to the point where I'm spending more on travel than anything else. I was wondering if there are ways or specific deals (or anything really) that could help cut down on the frankly ridiculous amount it costs to get to and from work/school/other vital commitments without a car.
Other than the obvious student cards and weekly tickets
Anything is appreciated

just use a car, God wont punish you for using a form of transport that is cheaper and more conveniant.

A car will be far more expensive if you consider the purchase price, road tax, insurance, maintenance, petrol costs and parking costs. Some sort of weekly or monthly bus ticket is about as economical as you can get, or if you use trains either buy a 'Season ticket' www.nationalrail.co.uk
or use a railcard to get a 34% discount on your tickets (not before 09-30am weekdays for short journeys) www.railcard.co.uk
