I found this painting that depicts a pope standing in front of a Creature who is holding a book.?
The creature is standing holding a large book open to the pope. The style looks like Da Vinci, but I could not find anything saying it was his, or anybody elses for that matter. This is driving me crazy, please help. Thanks.
Never mind, I found it myself. Its a piece done by Schwind, I believe its called Wolfgang and the devil. So, no not a pope, a saint. Also, I would never categorize DaVinci as any skill level - would you really?

So by saying Da Vinci, you basically mean "nearly any Italian Renaissance painter of any skill level."
Take the image, drop it in the google image search bar. It will find the painter for you, unless it's never been put on the net before.

Da Vinci never painted any pope, at least remaining till now
