can anyone help me find a Mexican book i read in an English translation?

>it was set in mexico city the main character was wealthy but had no parents, he did not know where his wealth came from or who hired the nanny's that took care of him

>i can't remember the name of the book or author, but from what i could see in the book jacket he seemed like a pretty popular author in mexico, or at least he's written a lot of books
