Objective C, knowing C++ is infinitely steps backward in this, ditch Obj-C and iPhone. I assume you post such a question from a programmatic approach to iPhone/Android.

i might say that Perl, Java, C and C++ are kinda comparable, so in case you start up discovering any of the C-ish languages, it does no longer take long earlier you knew adequate to start programming real stuff. And in spite of the reality that i've got faith different tutorials and discovering books for purpose C and C++ calls so you may be attentive to 3 C first, i think of you will possibly desire to in all probability locate some that would not.

if you write on C/C++, both of them won't be a problem.
but with java you dont have to worry about releasing allcated memory, which is pain in the *** in iOS development. I guess java is more programmer-friendly.
With java I'm using JAVA SE (java.org) and console, but you can download some IDEs like Eclipse.
with objevtive c use need Mac OS and xCode.
