Why are new games are boring and uninteresting ?

I felt that way while playing skyrim, then skyrim became boring and I tried kotor 2 again. That became boring very fast, and now I don't play any video games. I sometimes will play a video game if friends want to, or I will play an app on my ipod while in the car, but that is it really.

I think it might just be because most games concentrate on one thing, instead of having lots of things. Hopefully the last of us will have good gameplay... if I even feel like playing that.
