    I live in Brooklyn.

    It's not an "area" it's a "borough". In NYC, a borough is a political distinction. Each of the 5 boroughs the make up NYC are the size of major U.S. cities.

    For example, if Brooklyn were an independent city, it would be the 4th largest city in the U.S. It's the size of Philadelphia. It's larger than Houston, Texas.

    And no, I don't need any email pen pals, thank you very much! I doubt any sensible person would take you up on that offer!
