Where did these people come from?

My question relates to the strange case of Adam and Eve and sons as recorded in the Bible...Adam and Eve are removed from the garden of Eden (Gen3:24)..Chapter 5:1states that Adam knew Eve and she conceived and bare Cain and said I have gotten a man from the Lord.( This statement definately implies that Cain is the firstborn..(otherwise they would have said ANOTHER son )..Verse 2..and she again bare his ( singular )brother...This implies that there are now FOUR people living .....Later Cain killed Abel...... This implies that there are now Three people living (At this stage there is no hint or indication that there are other siblings).........Gen 4:14. Cain states that it shall come to pass that everyone who finds me (not my brothers or family remember, so he is obviously talking about someone else)will slay me.....(Gen4:16) And Cain went OUT FROM THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD..( What does this mean ? was he hidden from God) and dwelt in the land of Nod.........Another question..Who the hell is this chap called Nod who owns a piece of land to the east of Eden.

Stop trying to make sense of Genesis - you'll hurt yourself.

The original "creation" of man was in chap. 1, they had been around a long time before the garden was planted, and no things were not perfect and no they were not immortal.

And then the garden was planted and God "formed" man into something else it says, or used to say in older translations.

So first he "created" man, and then "formed" him into something more advanced, this has been recorded, there was a big change in man wouldn't you say? It is recorded that we did the same repeated things for awhile, and then boom we changed and were capable of more. The garden was it.

But back to your original question, there were already people all over the place.

Go from the presence of the lord, you know, leave him, go away, he wanted nothing to do with cain for a time.

What i found the most interesting was why cain killed his brother, pure jealousy. And I found out that God was not wrong in his feelings at all. Because abel's offering(or gift) was of more worth, not because it was literally worth more to God, or that God needed those things. But because the meaning of the gift was worth more. If you give someone a crappy gift that doesn't mean anything to you then deal with it you know. Cain gave selfishly, his offering was not even worth anything to him, it was like giving God scraps, things that meant nothing to cain.

Nod was just a place of human dwelling, like saying america, or chicago. It's just the name of a place.

You just gotta read Genesis 5:4.

Those two (A&E) had stacks of kids.

Remember, there was no Late-Show in those days.

Only 3 of their many, many children are mentioned .....Cain, Abel & Seth.

Nod means 'land of the fugitive'.

    Cain was the fugitive.

Adam and Eve lived almost 1000 years and had many children. By the time, Cain murdered Abel they could have been hundreds of years old and had hundreds of brothers and sisters.

Not able to answer your question in such a short space, but if you read your history, REAL archeological history, not the fables devised by an ancient civilisation , you will find all the answers to your questions. You will find that NOD was an actual place, not a person. You will find it a fascinating subject. Enjoy.
