what does it mean if a girl ask you "R u a glass half full or half empty kind of guy"?

I got this new friend and she ask me right away and I didn't understand what she meant by that question so i just didn't respond back to her. i figure i want to know first then i can answer her question. so what does it mean.

    Half full is like

    Yay i still have half my glass left (Optimist)

    Half empty is like

    Nooo half my glass is gone (Pessimist)

    Let's make the question more complicated, what's in the glass?

    Is it baby blood? Because that's a whole different story.
