Ps2 games on ps3 - Possibilities?
For some reason, my ps3 can no longer play ps2 games (i think it is caused by the latest update). It is still possible to play ps1 games though...
I don't know if it's possible, but i wan't to install a ps2 emulator and still have access to PSN and new updates. I could get custom firmware, but as far as i'm aware, it's permanent, and you can't get access to PSN.
I just sold my ps2, because i was certain my ps3 could do the job instead, but when i noticed it couldn't, i was like; "NOOOOoooo!!! What have i done!"

If your PS3 can't play PS2 games, there is absolutely nothing you can do to it to make it play them, except for the handful of games that are available through the PSN.
There's no system update that took away the ability to play PS2 games if your system is capable; either it never could, or it always could.

Only PS2 games available for newer version PS3's (last four years) are the ones released on the PSN, or the HD remakes that come out.
You can not (legally) play PS2 discs unless you have a working release model.

only old Fat PS3s with 4USB Ports & Memory Card Slots can play PS2 discs.
CFW will get u banned from PSN.
never sell ur old consoles, ever, i have gd reason for saying this, but i wont go into it, just trust me on that.
ur gonna have to buy another PS2 or download PS2 games from PSN now.

My ps3 cant play the ps2 games even if i download the ps2 memory save file from the store but ya just go onto the store and download the ps2 memory file and hopefully it will work for you.
