I have dish network can you help me with this please...Autohop question?

If you save a program from Primetime to the regular recorded events before the Autohop feature becomes available and then delete the Primetime version will the saved version get Autohop at the time the Primetime would have? I know that the Autohop feature becomes available at 3 am EST, but if the original Primetime version gets deleted will the saved version, that is in the regular recorded events folder, still get the Autohop feature? I hope that makes sense.

Update:

Not exactly what I was looking for. Okay here is basically the story behind this question: In the past I have gone into Primetime and taken the shows I actually watched and saved them into the recorded events folder. When I do this they had recorded the night before and the Autohop symbol (the little red kangaroo) was in the corner of the icon. This transfers over to the copy that I made in the recorded events folder, giving the copy the Autohop ability as well. I wold then go back and delete the original show and the others from Primetime. The copy would be left in my recorded events folder still with the Autohop feature. Recently, however, I have saved a few before this symbol appears and deleted the original version from my Primetime to help save space in my DVR. What I want to know is will the Autohop feature show up on the copied version even though the original is no longer in existence on my DVR?

Hi J Mac, if the PTAT recording is deleted the AutoHop feature will not apply to the manual timer. This feature is updated overnight and if deleted the feature will not enable. The Hopper has approximately 450 hours of HD content that you can save. Is the Hopper close to this amount? You can also add an external hard drive to the Hopper to save additional content. An External Hard Drive (EHD) allows you to expand the disk storage of a DVR (Hopper, 922, 722k, 722, 622, 612), or enable the DVR feature on some receiver models (211k, 211, 411). The EHD must have its own power supply, support USB 2.0, and have only a single hard disk drive (flash memory is not compatible). Please let us know if you have additional questions.

From my understanding. U r asking if u record it on prime time and regular will it get auto hop? Yes it will, and it probably won't get deleted off if regular but it will on prime time. If you r worried about it being deleted, just save it and it won't be deleted unless u want it to. Hope this helps and that I understood your question. And sorry about the spelling.
