What do you consider to be the best and worst?

habits\mannerisms of mainland chinese, I.E. best for me would be always having people outside cleaning the streets even though it doesnt do much good, worst being picking ones nose and then thinking its ok to push the button on the elevator. These are not my picks, just examples which happen to be true.

Update:

@Saffy not only south china bud, seems normal to me almost everywhere , though i will say beijing has a bit of a different feel to it, maybe not as prevalent there

Update 2:

@Jungle jim, i have seen public urination in every city province neighborhood area favela parking lot i have been to here, its normal, no one looks twice. hell i have even seen men pissing on the side of a 6 lane road "facing" the street, mothers holding babies in extended arms to poop outside the door at the market, its real and normal

Update 3:

because it is my question, so i asked it about china, and no its not the same in every ASEAN country

I've come across many times waiters, waitresses, hotel staff all over China after picking noses then came over to serve us, as well seeing numerous times middle-aged men and women peeing on the streets about 5 feet where I was equally gross. CCP JingleJungle and Margaret must be one of them.

If I were still staying in China the best thing would be to tackle the serious pollutions and toxic food problems there.

    EDIT

Would CCP mouthpiece JingleJungleSupermaniac & SillySalty stop labeling Mainlanders with Hongkongers and Singaporeans, Mainland Chinese and Chinese ethnicity elsewhere are very different species human beings, JJ and Silly Salty are making a fool out of themselves, lol.

Th bad manners in HK are done by the ruthless Mainlanders or new Mainland immigrants, over 1 million in total after HK merges with the mafia CCP, sad.

Many countries around the world label Mainland tourists as the most ill-mannered and worst tourists.

Worst : public toilet "standards" - the hardest for me to tolerate - really dirty , smelly , left in very bad state.

Also : the state of mind of so many Chinese (in China , Hongkong, Singapore etc) that the economy/society is a zero sum game.....for you to win , someone else has to lose. I think this is the basis of corruption , lack of civility , bad road manners , petty theft & many other things ...... observe a buffet in any of these countries & you will see what I mean

Best : Confucian values of integrity , civility , education value , family respect etc (although in most Asian countries they are progressively taking a bit of a rest ....you can see more in villages rather than any of the big cities)

EDIT : I have never seen public urination in China & I spend several months there every year in urban & rural areas - any sort of "nudity" is grossly impolite (amongst all Asians , not just Chinese) & such behaviour is also highly illegal in China. I suppose either deranged paranoia is behind that comment or perhaps Freely frequents areas not normally visited by other humans

Worst: Spitting, rudeness, "the whole world is your bathroom"

Best: Respect towards elders, friendliness, efficiency

Source(s): Of course not all of them are like this, but these are habits I have seen.
