2. If the terminal side of an angle in standard position intersects a circle at (-5, -12), what is the value of the sin of this angle?

3. The pendulum of a clock swings through an angle of 2.5 radians as its tip travels through an arc of 50 centimeters. Find the length of the pendulum, in centimeters.

    2. sinθ = y/r

    y= -12 , and r =√((-5)^2+(-12)^2) = √(169)=13

    sinθ = -12/13 [ANSWER]

    3. S =Rθ

    50 cm = R (2.5 radians)

    R = 20cm [ANSWER]

    4). log4 ( x^2 + 3x) - log4 (x + 5) = 1

    log4 ((x^2+3x)/(x+5)) =1

    (x^2+3x)/(x+5) = 4

    (x^2+3x) = 4(x+5)

    x^2+3x=4x+20

    x^2-x-20= 0

    (x-5)(x+4)=0

    x=5, -4 [ANSWER]
