How can I record a phone call while talking on the phone?
I'm starting a podcast and I want to include people who cannot be with me in person. I have a male-to-male audio cable to connect into the microphone port on my laptop, and use Audacity to record one the phone's side of the audio. However, I am unable to figure out how to record MY voice on the computer & hear myself on the phone.
How can I record my voice, as well as the other person's, and have the person on the other side hear my voice?
Here is the hardware I have:
my HP laptop with Audacity (digital audio recorder),
iPhone 4S, Frisby FMC-220 microphone,
Belkin RockStar 3.5mm cable splitter,
3.5mm male-to-male audio cable,
3.5mm male-to-2-female adapter,
3.5mm female-to-2-male adapter,
earbud headphones.
Using these, I have come very close to recording a phone conversation. We can hear and speak to each other, but only their voice is being recorded...
HELP!

Feeding phone line via a 0.1uF capacitor into tape recorder desk LINE-IN or computer sound card LINE-IN.
If the recorder only has MIC input, then phone line via a 0.1uF and 1mega ohm resistor in series to lower the phone signal intensity.

You could always use a professional call recording company like http://www.recordiapro.com/ - That way you will get both sides of the conversation in a digital format.
