Some people argue that governors should be given maximum power to complete their jobs, but some people claim that the ideal system would limit gubernatorial power so no governor would be too powerful. How much power should the governor have?
In my AP high school class, we are leading a discussion about this on Friday. Any insight/examples would be a big help, seeing as this is a topic I've never explored before and, quite frankly, don't know much about.

They can have all the power they want to as long as the state legislature can overrule their decisions.
It's called checks and balances.
