I can't imagine a scenario where he isn't guilty. I mean, she's right there in the house with him, and he fires a weapon at the door, without knowing where she is??? He didn't see that the spot in the bed next to him was empty????

I am struggling to reconcile Oscar's version of events with logic and basic common sense. The fact that this dude went into combat readiness without alerting his girlfriend of the perceived looming anger, the only other person in the house and by Oscar's own account was perceived to be in the same room as him at the time, whether asleep or not, defies all reasonable common sense! The only way I can make sense of this is by saying Oscar is telling a lie.. The closing of the sliding door and drawing close of curtains was meant to provide him with a reason that would support 'not seeing that Reeva was not in bed.. The fact he claims to have chosen to approach the direction of where there could be possible harm instead in the dark instead of making sure Reeva was in safe part of the house and aware of what he was up to..? Firing the gun on a closed door without ascertaining who was behind it knowing very well whoever was there was certainly subdued and has nowhere to go.. Oscar's claims sits well with a theory that his claims an invention to cover up what really happened that fateful night.. My take..

Oscar Pistorius is GUILTY. This has been clear from day one.

The man may have lost his legs but he is not a mute.

A natural reaction for anyone, even if they genuinely thought an intruder was in the house, would be

to demand to know who was there.

Why fire a gun through a locked door without making any attempt to communicate with the person inside,

even if it may have been an intruder?

He was not in any immediate danger & there was no need to fire through the door without 1st trying to establish who was inside.

The man has a serious temper, as demonstrated when he was beaten by Alan Oliveira in the 2012 Olympics & a HUGE ego.

Only 2 people really know what happened that night & 1 of them, with great sadness for her family, friends & anyone who knew her was Reeva Steenkamp. The other is Oscar Pistorius himself.

Today in court, a 3rd neighbour testified to hearing screams & arguing, with Mr Pistorius's defence team trying to claim that even if Reeva had been screaming from behind a locked door, no-one outside would have heard her, especially due to the distances between Mr Pistorius's house & the neighbours involved.

However, it takes no stretch of the imagination to consider a scenario where Reeva Steenkamp screamed, ran into the bathroom, locked the door & was cowering inside when she was shot dead.

This is a far more likely interpretation of events than Mr Pistorius's 'intruder' story.

I think the more that comes out during his trial the more ridiculous his story will look.

Murder is murder, whether it is a Olympic Star & athlete or just an average Joe & I am certain that the trial will eventually reveal Mr Pistorius's true nature & how, after a heated argument, he became so angered that in a fit of rage he shot poor Reeva.

Though there is no doubt that his tears are at least in part for Reeva, the remainder are tears of self pity for himself & the position he now finds himself in.

I sincerely hope the Judge see's through his defence & the man gets what he deserves.

Source(s): My source is common sense & though I did not need anything more, events during days 1 & 2 of his trial.

hes innocent; on the news it said he had a passion for guns, i reckon hes shot 4 bullets at the door, without thinking.

The thing I think is hard to believe is that living in a secure building with cameras inside and outside of the facility and armed guards, would you not just guard the locked door knowing they couldn't leave without getting past you with the gun trained on the door and either have your girlfriend or you yourself call the guards no matter how scared you are? Why would you as a criminal with the knowledge and foresight to surmount those obstacles then lock yourself in a bathroom on the second floor and make noises to wake up your sleeping victims instead of go to the first floor and attempt to rob them as you obviously went through so much trouble to do in the first place!? Why move into such a secure area when you obviously don't even take advantage of using the amenities afforded of living in such a secure place by even realizing they are trapped in your locked bathroom inside of your secure compound!

Guilty. It was a hot-blooded murder (IMO), not a cold-blooded one. I'm about 99% sure he knew that was Reeva in the bathroom.

If a person has an anger problem, he needs to take control of it. There's no excuse not to.

As we dont know the full details of the case its impossible for us to make an informed decision.

But based on what the media tells us and the level of information I have heard I would lean more to an accidental death.
