Why does my kindle app not work on my android tablet?

I recently got a new android tablet and uploaded a kindle app. At first the app worked perfectly, but after i updated it, it does not work. When i try to open it, it either freezes, closes and if it does open ita asks for my account information, but then it turns gray and then closes. I tried re-uploading the app, turning off my android tablet, and rebooting the tablet but nothing works.

    Thanks for the question.

    1. Clear the cache from the Kindle application - go to Settings, Applications, Kindle Reader

    2. If that does not work, try uninstalling the application and re-install it.

    I hope this helps.
