I'm not very familiar with these sorts of transactions. Usually my cane does all the talking.

Best to look into a shop you are dealing with some of these shops can be shady, open one day to tune your car closed the next moved elsewhere.Get some info and references of other cars they have done. I would pay with a credit or debit card this way you have bank/merchant copy of the transaction. Excepting Cash only would send a red flag up.

The shops charge you upfront. The only way you can finance it is if you get a loan. You can save some money if you do the work yourself, but turbo charging a car is not a simple task. You would have to rework the maps, change the intake, exhaust, valves etc.

Actually if you bring a car to my shop I will let you pay it off monthly. And as soon as the final payment is made, you can then get the keys to your car and drive it off the lot.

Cash up front usually. Unless you get a loan from the bank or Credit Card.
