Cleveland Big Cat Williams 1963 vs Evander Holyfield 1996.?
The Cleveland Big Cat Williams of 1963, before he was shot by a Texas Deputy, and who broke Sonny Liston's nose in their 1959 fight before Liston stopped him in round 3, vs 1996 Evander Real Deal Holyfield who stopped Iron Mike Tyson in 11 rounds. Who would win and why?

Hello Irene and once again another excellent question! Cleveland "The Big Cat" Williams was a devastating puncher and a fast fighter for a big man. Had there not been a dude named Sonny Liston around at the time he was fighting, he very well may have been the heayweight Champion of the World. Evander Holyfield was one of the most exciting fighters of the 80's and 90's and well known for his fights with Bowe and Tyson of course and had a tremenodus combination of boxing skills and punching power not to m,ention a warrior ring mentality to go along with it. I think that this would have been a tough fight and a rather close fight too as I could see Williams causing Holyfield problems with his size and power as Holyfield had this tendency to want to trade whots with bigger fighters during his career. But he was also an excellent boxer and something tells me tat he has the skills to outpoint Williams in a very grueling fight. I think that Williams would hurt Holyfield a couple of times during the fight but Holyfield would persevere and prevail surpriseing everyone with his great courage and toughness in a real ring war.

I was at that fight Mitch Halpern was the ref and Evander cleaned Mike's clock. As good as Williams was, Holyfield was better, it might have went the distance, but Evander Holyfield would have out pointed Cleveland Williams provided Williams lasted the distance.
