Lets make some matches... ?
Any boxer, any era, any weight class 1.Who do you feel would make the most explosive match up's ?
2. Who do you feel would make the most technical, chess, match up's ?
Hello back as well my Amigo. Easter is going good, guess what i'm having ? I'm charcoaling rabbit and glazing em in a egg sauce.(ha) Hope you and your lovely wife have a great easter.
I do not want to pick a best answer here, both are top notch. Two top dogs in the boxing section, answer my question at the same time. How dare y'all, put me in this position. Shame, shame.
@ Toughguy. That mushroom steak does sound good. Be nice if one day we really could get together my friend. It would be my honor.
@ Blog, great comment amigo. You brought many bouts up, with some great detail along beside. This just edges it for me. Let me say this, for someone to edge out the toughguy in the boxing section and/or match up department, is something. That's a feather in your cap friend.
Wanna say thanks to both you guy's for outstanding comments. But don't EVER put me in this position again, or, i'm gonna have to whup y'alls butts. Not at the same time now mind you. I'm not a showoff.

I always wanted to see George Foreman and Larry Holmes throw down, that one was my era's Pacquiao/Mayweather a great match up that never happened.
I always hoped Mike Tyson and David Tua could have squared off but that one never happened either.
Another was Aaron Pryor vs Sugar Ray Leonard, Leonard was visibly afraid of Aaron and actually intimidated to the point that Ray would avoid public encounters with Aaron.
Thomas Hearns vs John "The Beast" Mugabi was the third one that never happened, rumor was Hearns gave Mugabi 250, 000.00 to step aside and allow the Hearns/Duran fight to take place.
Historical matches from different time frames that would have been intense are Rocky Marciano vs Evander Holyfield, that one would have been absolutely a match made in boxing hell.
Everyone my age always wondered if Ali really could have handled Joe Louis or if Joe would have got to Ali, old timers still argue this one from their wheel chairs in old folks homes across the country.
Ricardo Lopez vs Khasiao Galaxy is one that would have determined the best little guy in history.
Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. vs Henry Armstrong is one for the ages.
Sonny Liston vs George Forman would have been a lot like Foreman/Lyle, but Liston was far more dangerous than Lyle, Big George would have had his hands full with Sonny and it could have went either way.
Jack Dempsey vs Mike Tyson would have been a lot like Dempsey/Firpo but Mike had more explosive power, it would have been very intense for the short time it lasted, I really would have a hard time picking a winner
If Lucia Rijker vs Anne Wolf would have determined the best female boxer in history, this one would have been an epic match worthy of any all time great match up.

Hello my friend and hope you ahve a happy Easter. I will answer this later on sir. Dang that sounds really good my friend. My lovely wife will be making us a nice juicy steak for Easter and some stuffed mushrooms. C'mon over and have some with us mate. Hope you have a great Easter too.
My favorite match ups"
Most explosive:
Roberto Duran vs Aaron Pryor
Could you haave imagined the sheer intensity of these two guys? Hands of Stone Duran vs the Hawk in an all out war in the ring with heavy shots being thrown and landed the entire fight with the crowd on it's feet throughout.
Mosr technical chess match:
Slight weight disadvantage here but
Willie Pep vs Benny Leonard.
Two of the best pure boxers in ring history. This would have been an artistic fisticuffs dream match in my opinion.
Another great match:
Harry Greb vs Archie Moore.
Greb feared nobody and would have been a tough fight for the Ol Mongoose. Nobody threw punches with the velocity of Mr. Greb and he was almost impossible to hurt.
