What does this quote(or whatever it is) mean?

Here is my interpretation of this very confusing..whatever it is.

--Find laughter and chocolate however in combination to be best.

In life, you need to have laughter and chocolate..chocolate here probably symbolizes love, happiness, and all the sweetness that comes with it. However in combination meaning always include one or both of these in whatever you do.

--Detach yourself, stand naked in freezing rain and feel nothing, then you will understand.

Learn to let go. (Go look up Zen philosophy of detachment --you have to let go of your desire for material things, let go your attachment to people or ideas or even your emotions) Learn to be carefree.

--Don't view it as a descension, rather an ascension in to insanity.

Don't view detaching yourself as a spiral down to insanity, but view it as something that lifts you off from from this craziness. (he probably means the craziness of this world..how people are so materialistic and all that crazy celebrity gossip.)

--Only when you let go of everything will you see.

He wants you to embrace a new perspective.

--I do not speak of something as irrelevant as a government or a universe or materialism, or goddamn Martha Stewart, rid yourself of every assumption, every association, every vindication, every vaudeville clause, every bittersweet drop of water, every damn fiber in your being.

Here he goes to rant about irrelevant stuff that we shouldn't focus our energy too much on such as material things, or Martha Stewart (drama). He's telling you to not get to worked up on the little things that dont matter much.

--To say rid yourself of everything would be an accursed insult to what I intend. An entirety is only in contrast to the absence thereof, and is never a genuine term.

But he doesnt mean to tell you to get rid of everything in your life, only what is unnecessary. "An entirety is only in contrast to the absence thereof" ---sounds like a similar saying "what is good without evil?" So don't get rid of everything, because if you get rid of everything what is the distinction between keeping your sanity and not having your sanity?

--Rid yourself of _______ x infinity, and you will understand, but remember that it all reverts to drama, from the grand opening chords to the final minor chords.

I dont' know this music reference because I don't know how to play or read music, lol. But he probably means that even when you try detach yourself and try to live in a drama free world, there is always going to be drama. He wants to introduce you to a new perspective when you confront drama: Do not spend too much time on irrelevant drama .

are you the type of person that usually gets worked up about things and tend to over think certain situations? maybe this guy is telling you to get rid of all your worries and your thoughts about what is going to happen (detach yourself from the negative thoughts) and have laughter and chocolate in your life. :)

It means that the only way to really enjoy life and make sense of it is to not make sense of it at all, but to release the infinity of the human experience. It recommends to become completely unfeeling to test if you will be able to accept the sensation of complete nothingness. It explains that even if you do this, the world will always revert to "drama", or the act of participating in the human experience, so it will never be a permanent solution to remove yourself from reality. Also, laughter and chocolate are pretty cool.

Omg r u serious. Or were you umm 2 years ago? Tell me something... Do you see after this time has passed that this person stole another persons words and was trying to make himself look smart and have you puzzled probably to divert your attention off something else he was getting a bit worried about you finding out about. Tell me, am I right or wrong? I can handle it either way. Promise. I won't say any 'toldja so' no no. Nor will I say THATS NOT TRUE.

But please tell me the ending to this story, won't you?

I think it means to be positive and not let anything bring you down and live the way you want to and don't let anything stand in your way.
