How can a minor buy a (M) rated video game?

I'm 15 and I want to buy far cry 3 is there any way to get away with purchasing this? Can I go to self checkout at Walmart?

Well the video game rating policy isn't actually a law, it's just a policy that stores abide by to avoid getting boycotted by soccer moms. But I'm pretty sure they ALL enforce it. I'm actually surprised how stringent it seems to be. I'm 22 and I get carded more often buying M-rated games than I do buying alcohol. I would presume that if you went to self-checkout at Wal-Mart, it would flag the game as age restricted and require you to show ID to a sales associate just like it does with alcohol. I'd say the easiest thing to do would just be to either have your parent go with you or have somebody who is 17 or older buy it for you. Or you could order it online for delivery if you have a credit card. They won't verify your age if you do that.

Walmart doesn't have self checkout anymore. At least mine doesn't. But no. It would said ID would be needed and you would have to wait for assisstance. Get a friend or someone to buy it for you.

Just get your parent to go with you

All stores will sell you the game with parent permission

I'm also fairly certain self checkout will work, realistically thinking

there is no regulation in the U. S. on the subject of activity rankings. in any respect. Any regulation in the U. S. that tries to restirct video games sales based on the ESRB score gets struck down as unconstitutional (simply by it giving government authority to a non-governmental business enterprise). maximum retailers revuse to sell M rated video games to minors, and that's interior of their rights to take action. yet there is no longer something unlawful approximately doing so.

Just go to a store that doesn't have the policy on selling M games to minors. It's not a law or anything. It's just a store policy that some places have.

    Easiest way would be secondhand
