I'm addicted to sugar but it's not the way it seems!?
Okay, let me give you a quick run-down of the situation.
My mum loves fruit, all types of fruit, so we buy quite a lot of fruit per week from the grocery store.
I used to be unaware of the high fructose content of fruit so would eat around 3-5 pieces a day (I know, it's a crazy amount!).
Also, I love dark chocolate but I've never been the type to snack/binge on junk food...if I want sugar, I'll have a cube of chocolate or a cookie here or there.
But my mum sometimes brings sugary things home (I think she only recently discovered the joys of sugar haha) and when there is a large amount of anything sweet, I 'binge'...not in the sense where I eat crazy amounts and puke later (no wayyyy) but I become really ravenous and gobble down a few spoonfuls of cake etc without being able to control it!! To others, it probably seems stupid that I am worrying but I don't want the out of control love affair with sugar!
I've cut down on fruit considerably and I can NEVER completely cut out dark chocolate..but how do I keep myself from bingeing like that? And do you know why it happens?
