What all can you do in minecraft pocket edition?

So I've been considering buying minecraft pocket edition for my iPod, but some people have been saying it gets boring and isn't worth the money. Anyways, I was wondering about the things you can do on it, like what kind of multiplayer things and such. And if it's worth purchasing

The objective of the game remains the same as its original PC and Xbox Edition counterparts, where players can build virtual realities in a sandbox-like environment. However, the Pocket Edition lacks most Survival features present in other versions of the game. So far the mobs available are sheep, chickens, cows, pigs, zombies, creepers, skeletons, zombie pigmen, and spiders. The multiplayer mode is cross-platform compatible between Android and iOS, but not Demo/Lite with full version.

Both the iOS and Android versions of Pocket Edition have the same gameplay, which is similar to that of the Classic game mode, but here are some of the following differences:

World is infinite as in Classic version but there isn't infinite water at world corners.

The terrain generation is similar to that of Alpha's. It lacks many biomes, generated structures.

With the survival update tools were added. These were: swords, shovels, pickaxes, axes, and shears.

In game items differ slightly to the Classic version. The notable differences being the addition of Quartz and Nether blocks.

Clouds are in Pocket Edition as of 0.6.0. They are 2D like the clouds on PC in "Fast" graphics setting.

As of 0.6.0 the sky in Pocket Edition only has clouds and a lush blue color. Sun, moon, and stars will be added in more updates.

It lacks many of the settings the Classic version has.

Pocket Edition has physics for sand, gravel, and primed TNT.

Online (LAN) mode only allows 5 players to be on a single server. Internet support is in development.

    Crafting using the MATTIS system.

The world size is 256x256 blocks.

The Nether is not present, but it is replaced by the Nether Reactor. The Reactor is planned to eventually be replaced.

Roses are not present, but are replaced by Cyan Flowers, alias Blue Roses[9]. However, in the hot bar, it is named "Rose". Also, the red dye is obtained by burning red mushrooms in a furnace.

Minecraft PE ( MCPE ) is a great game. It is a smaller version that is being updated. PE stands for Pocket Edition. The main developers: tomcc and johan bernhardsson are recently updating the game to better and better. We nownhave powered rails, rails, redstone, and more! The reason why updates take long is because they work on bigger updates before they make the version that is supposed to be after. Example, we had 0.7.3, while making 0.7.4, they worked on 0.8.0 update which contains a lot of additions. There are 2 modes in minecraft PE:

    Creative

    Survival

Creative is when you can free build: build epic creations, make maps...

While in survival you gather recourses by mining to get diamonds, gols, iron, coal, cobblestone...

At first, all new people start at creative. Free building is the best way.

However, if you consoder this as "boring", if has a android device, you can mod your game. @tomcc will allow modding IOS soon. Mods add things to the game, according to what the mod contains.

For example, a herobrine mod, it adds herobrine. These mods make the game funner.

Minecraft is developed by Mojang®, but @tomcc_ and @johan bernhardsson work on PE more.

There are different "copied" games: terraria, survivalcraft... About Terraria; it is not considered on "stolen" as Mojang® Approved it is safe & fun.

Minecraft PE now contains External servers and realms!

    External servers:

Once a player creates a server (figure out how later), he adds an Ip adress for his server and port. If it is a 24/7 server, it will be always online. And you will be always play. But when it's offline, you can't play.

    Whitelisted servers:

The owner of the server or OPs (operators) can whitelist people. When whitelisting, the whitelisted player has permission to join the game. When you have a server that you have to whitelist, it is called a "REALM".

You can play on LAN (local area network). Which means a person has to be on the same wi-fi. When that happens, a blue icon will appear. Then you can play with anyone on the same wi-fi with you.

All in all, minecraft PE is completely worth it. But what's more worth s the PC version. Even though it costs more than $20, but it is a complete awesome game.believe me, buy these.

There was a free edition before but isn't full and there is currently no free minecraft pocket edition but u can always purchase it on play store or app store.Maybe the mojang team may decide to make the app free after they get a square mansion for notch ain?But purchasing the app is worth it.But it is definitely cheaper than PC/Mac version and similar to it.Gonna create a channel in five years time!

The reason people say that minecraft pocket edition is more boring than the PC or XBOX360 version is because the creators of minecraft rarely update the pocket edition of minecraft. The current version of minecraft PE (Pocket Edition) still remains as version 0.6.1. The newer version of minecraft PC versions are versions 1.5.1 and versions newer than that. In the minecraft PE version 0.6.1, [grass/wheat] is harder to find, making some animals harder to breed, You cant edit your skin, You cant craft most of the new stuff such as boats, books, buckets, fireworks, fences, and anything that was involved in the redstone update. You will also never see rain or snow. You also cant sprint, or sneak, making it harder for you to [escape/avoid] creatures that are chasing you such as spiders, and zombie pigmen. But in the new PC versions and XBOX360 of minecraft, you can do all of these things. Thats why I recommend that you use your money to purchase the PC version or XBOX360 version of minecraft instead of the pocket edition.

With every day pass, our country is getting into more and more trouble. The inflation, unemployment and falling value of dollar are the main concern for our Government but authorities are just sleeping, they don’t want to face the fact. Media is also involve in it, they are force to stop showing the real economic situation to the people. I start getting more concern about my future as well as my family after watching the response of our Government for the people that affected by hurricane Katrina.

According to recent studies made by World Bank, the coming crisis will be far worse than initially predicted. So if you're already preparing for the crisis (or haven't started yet) make sure you watch this video at http://www.familysurvival.tv/ and discover the 4 BIG issues you'll have to deal with when the crisis hits, and how to solve them fast (before the disaster strikes your town!) without spending $1,000s on overrated items and useless survival books.
