i hit a deer with my car?
about 30 minutes ago i was driving down the road doing 35, the deer literally jumped out of no where last moment and hit the front right corner of my car. broke my headlight lens and a medium size dent on my hood. i went to look for the deer but it ran off. do i call the police? i know this isnt covered in my insurance because i dont have comprehensive, so im not really looking to get money. but is it bad that i left and didnt call the police? im in NY btw

The police aren't going to do anything about it. If it looks like it was ok he should be fine. If it dies it dies stuff happens the cops won't do jack about that

not a whole bunch can be done, you could call animal control or fish and game report your approximate location, they may try to keep an eye out .
