Defener can't be un-installed, it's built-in to W 7, and older. But, once you install any other Anti-Malware App, they disable Defender, and this even includes Microsoft Security Essentials.
FYI; On Windows HATE, Defender was replaced by Microsoft Security Essentials, but Microsoft still chose to call it "Defender". Confused? Me, too.
Rant-o-gram: Way to Go Microsoft, you should HIRE someone that can actually think up Original Application Names.

As already posted, Defender is an INTEGRAL part of the Windows OS.
It CANNOT be uninstalled - only deactivated by using an alternative.

I don't think there is a way to fully uninstall it as it is built into windows. Check the link in my sources to see a way that you could disable it. This is the only way I know to get rid of it. Hopefully this helps.
