How do Americans feel about Canadian Tar sands spilling on their land for foreign profit?
All Oil is sold on the world market. Canada said no to the pipeline and Republicans love it and hide the extreme toxic spills. Certainly no one thinks Canada is just giving us oil? It is for export.

This deliberate GOP designed job starving tactics the last 13 years are designed specifically to force people to support a toxic, highly corrosive sludge being pumped across America under the disingenuous auspicious occasion of pipe construction that will only produce less than 500 jobs at peak construction with temp workers filling an on-call basis for anticipated future spill, plug the leaks "response team".
Granted, I'm speculating about most of this, but the exaggerated job creation numbers are pure job desperation "bait" that will be swept away sooner than the time it takes for the one-sided construction contract ink to dry.
XL pipeline will become the love canal disaster that toxic waste dumping was to upper state NY in the late 70's.

And your point?
We already get more oil from Canada than any other country.
(You knew that already, right?)
So, what does it matter?
Canada will sell the oil to whomever wants it.
Why are yo in such a hurry to load it on a thousand ships and letting it sail across violent seas?
That philosophy already cause the great Gulf oil spill.
Haven't you learned your lesson yet?
