The sound on my laptop is not working all of a sudden!?

Ok, my sound on my laptop is not working. I've got the volume turned up to a 100% and still no sound :(.

When I go on to the "Control Panel" and go in to the "Sound" section it says everything is working correctly. But when you go on to the speakers and headphone section and click on test it says "this device is being used by another application". maybe that's the problem? I've tried putting my headphones in to see if the sound comes back on when there plugged in but it doesn't work also :(

It was working just earlier today but when I came back to my laptop it was not working! I've tried shutting it down and turning it back on but nothing. If it helps my computer is an HP Pavillion G6. Please help! Thankssss!

First of all, Go to "Device Manager" and make sure that device is "Enabled". If it's Disabled, Enable and play some music.

No success, problem is still continuing.........

It was working fine last day and not working sudden and says "this device is being used by another application" So, this stranger application must installed/activated within last day session or today.

make helpful all quantity ranges are up and not muted. Reboot the laptop attempt headphones did no longer paintings? attempt re-installation the drivers nonetheless would not paintings? call the producer (Toshiba), you have a motherboard subject. Headphones paintings: you have a unfastened cable that connects the audio equipment to the motherboard. you could the two call the producer OR take it to a tech save and clarify the venture and that headphones paintings and you need them to attempt to reconnect the speaker cable to the motherboard.
